The Team Arrives in Mongolia!

Our team has arrived safely. It was a long journey, taking us about 30 hours to get from BCC's church parking lot to our hotel in the city of Baganuur.

Our planned schedule for the trip looks like this:

(Keep in mind that we are 15 hours ahead of everyone back home)

Thursday:

• Prayer walk in Baganuur as we prepare for outreach

• Practice a skit/drama we'll use for outreach

• Sports outreach training with the team of Mongolian helpers/translators

• More skit/drama practice

Friday:

• Sports clinic all day until dinner

• Practice skit/drama practice

Saturday:

• Sports clinic all day until 3pm

• Evangelistic outreach with testimonies, skit/drama, and preaching

• Game night with local teens

Sunday:

• Attend church service in Baganuur (Billy will be preaching)

• Pack up and head to the capital city of Ulaanbaatar

• Prepare for the next day's ministry

  
  

Monday:

• Train 40+ Mongolian Christians in using sports clinics for evangelism (some of them will be driving 400 miles to be trained!)

• Begin our second sports clinic in the afternoon

Tuesday:

• Sports clinic all day until 3pm

• Evangelistic outreach with testimonies, skit/drama, and preaching

• Jay and Josh go to the airport to head home (they could only attend for the first week)

Wednesday

• Train Mongolian Christians in how to run Vacation Bible School

• Head to the national park for church camp

Thursday - Saturday (Church Camp)

• Billy will be teaching about Evangelism and Mission

• Ben, Stephen, and Heatherlyn will work with teens

• Ginger and Katherine will run VBS for kids

• Steve, Billy, and others will lead small group discussion after the main sessions

• We will head back to Ulaanbaatar on Saturday

Sunday

• Worship service at Pastor Baataraa's church

• Rest and sightseeing

Monday (August 10)

• Fly home!

• Good health and strength for the team (the jet lag is intense)

• Good connections and relationships with sports clinic participants

• Effective outreaches at the end of each sports clinic

• Effective preaching, teaching, and group facilitation

• Effective training for sports outreach and VBS

• The Holy Spirit's power for bold and effective witness

• Whatever else the Lord puts on your heart!
